The Norman Garon Trust has continued its investment in sport and leisure facilities across Southend-on-Sea with the opening of two exciting new additions to Garon Park Golf – The Bunker Café and a state-of-the-art Indoor Golf Simulator Room.

The latest developments represent another significant step in the Trust’s ongoing commitment to enhancing Garon Park as a welcoming, accessible destination for sport, recreation and community engagement.

Located alongside the popular Toptracer Driving Range, The Bunker is a new café and fully licensed bar, providing a relaxed and informal environment for golfers, families and visitors alike.

Open seven days a week, from 10am until 10pm, the facility offers a selection of hot snacks, paninis, refreshments and alcoholic drinks, with views overlooking the driving range.

Designed to appeal to golfers and non-golfers alike, The Bunker creates a new social space where friends and families can meet, relax and enjoy the atmosphere, whether or not they are participating in golf themselves.

Complementing the new café is Garon Park Golf’s Indoor Golf Simulator Room, featuring advanced Foresight Sports GC Falcon technology.

The simulator provides detailed analysis of every golf shot, including ball speed, carry distance, launch angle and spin, allowing golfers to better understand and improve their performance.

Alongside its practice capabilities, the facility offers an entertaining virtual golf experience, enabling individuals and groups to play simulated rounds on a variety of courses, whatever the weather.

Together, the two developments further enhance Garon Park Golf’s offering, providing new opportunities for people of all ages and abilities to enjoy golf in a modern, welcoming environment.

Karl Hepple, Chief Executive of the Norman Garon Trust, commented:

“These latest investments demonstrate our continued commitment to developing Garon Park as a destination that offers something for everyone.

“Golf is changing, and facilities such as our Toptracer Range and new Simulator Room are helping to make the sport more accessible, engaging and enjoyable for a much wider audience.

“Equally, The Bunker provides a fantastic new social space where people can come together, whether they’re playing golf or watching friends.

“Importantly, investments such as these also contribute to the long-term sustainability of Garon Park, helping us generate income that can be reinvested into supporting the wider Southend community.”

The opening of The Bunker and Simulator Room reinforces the Trust’s long-term vision of creating a thriving, sustainable sporting destination that benefits the whole community.
