Just Ride

Just Ride Southend runs regular drop-in inclusive cycling sessions for people of all ages and abilities.

Based at Southend Leisure & Tennis Centre at Garon Park, the programme provides a safe, traffic-free cycling experience for every participant. With a fleet of 150 bikes - including two-wheelers, children’s bikes, and specially adapted cycles - Just Ride Southend caters for a wide range of abilities and health conditions.

The aim is to offer a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Bar'n'Bus

Bar ‘n’ Bus is a Christian charity delivering professional, community-based youth work across Essex for young people aged 10-19.

Working in partnership with churches, schools, and local councils, the organisation provides outreach services, detached youth work, targeted programmes, and in-school mentoring.

Its focus is on meeting young people where they are, using street-based engagement, mobile youth vehicles, and tailored support to promote wellbeing, inclusion, and positive life outcomes.

Essex Scouts

Essex Scouts change lives by offering 4 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure, and opportunities to help others, creating a positive impact in local communities.

The organisation helps children and young adults reach their full potential, while giving them the space to explore who they are and the world around them.

Carli Lansley Foundation

The Carli Lansley Foundation is a UK charity focused on keeping young hearts healthy by providing free ECG heart screenings for people aged 14-35 in the Southend area to help detect undiagnosed heart conditions.

The charity also installs defibrillators in key community locations and offers free CPR and defibrillator training to local residents.

The foundation was established following Carli Lansley’s death from Sudden Arrhythmic Death Syndrome, with the aim of helping to prevent similar tragedies in the future.
