Local Youngster's Litter-Picking Efforts Rewarded with £500 Charity Donation

The Norman Garon Trust has recognised the outstanding efforts of 15-year-old Southend resident Otis Tabor, whose dedication to keeping Southend's beaches clean has captured the hearts of thousands online.

Otis recently gained widespread attention on social media after regularly sharing his litter-picking activities along Southend seafront, inspiring local residents and visitors alike to take greater pride in their environment. His commitment to improving the local area at such a young age has been widely praised across the community.

Having seen Otis's story online, the Norman Garon Trust reached out to him to acknowledge his efforts and commitment to making Southend a better place. As a gesture of support and recognition, the Trust has made a £500 donation to Friends of the Earth UK, the charity of Otis’ choice.

Karl Hepple, CEO of the Norman Garon Trust, said:

"Otis is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when young people take pride in their community. His actions have not only helped improve our local environment but have inspired countless others to do the same. At the Norman Garon Trust, we are passionate about supporting young people who make a positive difference, and we are delighted to make a donation to a charity of Otis' choice in recognition of his efforts."

Otis's story reflects the values that have been at the heart of the Norman Garon Trust for decades. Supporting local people, encouraging community spirit, and investing in initiatives that make Southend a better place to live.

The Trust hopes that Otis's example will inspire others to take small actions that can make a big difference in their local communities.
